Steel Rolling Mill Auxiliary Machinery
The TM-E series three-phase squirrel-cage induction motor employs a strong and robust structure that resists external shock, in addition to a totally-enclosed self-cooling structure(IC410) that exhibits excellent environmental resistance and does not require any auxiliary equipment for cooling. This structural feature drives the TM-E series motor with high reliability under tough environmental conditions, such as those involving steel rolling equipment.
Since the beginning of production manufacturing in 1991 and untill 2011, we have delivered over 2,100 units of TM-E series motors. The excellent technologies and abundant experiences of the TM-E series motors contribute to the enhancement of rolling equipment capabilities.
Features of TM-E series motor
■Use of highly reliable aluminum rotors
By integrating a steel rotor core and an aluminum conductor into an alminum rotor, the alminum rotor has achieved high reliability and low-inertia performance, owing to excellent shock resistance and a robust structure.
The establishment of casting technology has expanded the scope of the application of aluminum rotors. An aluminum rotor is used for all the TM-E series motors(250-400J frame).
■Expansion of frame size and the use of casting flames
TMEIC has developed new TM-E motors with 355J and 400J frame, and expanded the TM-E series models to high torque applications.
We adopt a shock casting frame for all TM-E series motors(250-400J frame), achieving a tough frame that can resist the shock of 3G.
■Adoption of structure that has excellent environmental resistance
The TM-E series motors have adopted an ingress protection(IP55) to protect against severe environment conditions, such as areas involving dust and water. The ingress protection(IP55) can prevent the entrance of dust or water into the motor so that the motor can be driven with high reliability. Furthermore, a totally-enclosed self-cooling structure(IC410) is used to eliminate the need for auxiliary equipment for cooling.
